Turlough constructs rope ladder in breakout attempt
The clean sheets—stiff from laundry starch and clinical freshness—are violently repurposed into a crude ladder as Turlough seizes them in desperation. The white fabric is knotted into uneven rungs and twisted into a fraying coil, its original sterility now marred by frantic misuse. Wedged with the Guardian’s crystal, the sheets serve dual purposes: concealment and egress.
Before:
The sheets rested smooth and neatly folded, part of the sickbay’s sterile environment, untouched and unmarked by use
After:
Transformed into a hasty rope ladder with stiffened bends, frayed edges, and soil-smudged handsprints, it coils unevenly near the cot, ready to unfurl toward unseen freedom
