Johnny Ringo

When the Clantons seek revenge against Wyatt Earp, they hire the notorious Johnny Ringo, who has his own score to settle with Doc Holliday, setting the stage for a deadly showdown in Tombstone.

In Tombstone, tensions rise as the Clantons, led by Pa Clanton, seek retribution against Marshal Wyatt Earp for arresting Phineas and foiling their attempt to hang Steven for a crime Doc Holliday committed. Frustrated by his sons' ineptitude, Pa Clanton hires the infamous gunfighter Johnny Ringo for $500 to eliminate Earp. Meanwhile, Doc Holliday, having killed Seth Harper, flees town with Kate and Dodo Dupont, but is being doggedly pursued by Steven. Charlie, a barman at the Last Chance Saloon, informs Ringo of Holliday's location, but is murdered by Ringo to keep him quiet.

Steven, desperate to find Dodo who left town with Holliday, crosses paths with Ringo, who proposes that they join forces to find Doc, hiding his personal animosity for the ailing dentist. They ride towards Richmond. Wyatt, along with Bat Masterson and his brother Warren, learn of Ringo's presence and the murder of Charlie, setting off to confront the threat. In Richmond, Ringo encounters Kate and learns that Holliday has left her, learning that Holliday and Dodo are headed towards New Mexico. Ringo kidnaps Kate, declaring she’s returning with him to Tombstone. Holliday and Dodo are confronted by Dodo's former associates, who trigger a change of heart in Dodo, setting things right with Holliday, and then escaping. Steven is left as collateral damage when Ringo attacks Holliday. Wyatt's presence in the saloon helps Steven to find a modicum of safety.

The stage is set for a confrontation between Wyatt Earp and the Clantons, with the looming presence of Johnny Ringo promising further bloodshed.

Act 1

The episode opens with the Clanton family attempting to lynch Steven, mistakenly believing him to be Doc Holliday, whom they blame for Seth Harper's death. Marshal Wyatt Earp, with Bat Masterson's assistance, intervenes decisively, preventing the hanging and subduing Phineas Clanton. Charlie, a barman, reveals the truth: Steven is not Holliday, and Holliday indeed killed Harper, forcing the Clantons to retreat in humiliation. This incident escalates the Clantons' vendetta against Earp. Pa Clanton, enraged by his sons' incompetence, arrives in Tombstone and immediately seeks to hire the notorious gunfighter Johnny Ringo for $500 to eliminate Wyatt Earp. Meanwhile, Doc Holliday, Kate, and Dodo Dupont have fled Tombstone, settling a short distance away. Steven, desperate to find Dodo, learns from Charlie that she departed with Holliday. The narrative introduces Johnny Ringo, a ruthless and calculating figure, who arrives at the Last Chance Saloon. Ringo learns of the Clantons' offer to target Earp but reveals his primary motivation is a deeply personal vendetta against Doc Holliday, whom he has tracked from Fort Griffin. To maintain secrecy and prevent interference, Ringo murders Charlie, the barman, establishing his lethal efficiency and independent agenda, setting the stage for multiple converging conflicts.

Act 2

Act Two intensifies the pursuit and further intertwines the characters' fates. Dodo Dupont, frustrated by Doc Holliday's evasiveness, confronts him at gunpoint, demanding he fulfill his promise to return her to Tombstone. Holliday, initially resistant, disarms Dodo by causing her to faint with a hidden Derringer, indicating his continued reluctance to return directly to Tombstone on her terms. Concurrently, back in Tombstone, Steven and the Doctor discover Charlie's murdered body at the Last Chance Saloon. Johnny Ringo, feigning ignorance, arrives and subtly manipulates Steven. Ringo suggests Doc Holliday is the killer and proposes they join forces to find him, concealing his true, murderous intentions toward Holliday. Ringo's offer is a calculated move to use Steven's desperation to locate his target. Simultaneously, Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson learn of Ringo's presence and Charlie's murder from the Doctor. Wyatt immediately recognizes Ringo's dangerous nature and sets out with Masterson to confront him, leaving his brother Warren in charge. The scene shifts to Richmond, where Ringo and Steven continue their search. Ringo, acting alone, encounters Kate, Doc Holliday's companion. Kate, believing Holliday has abandoned her for Dodo, reveals Holliday and Dodo are headed towards New Mexico. Ringo, seizing the opportunity, kidnaps Kate, asserting his claim over her and declaring she will return with him to Tombstone. This act concludes with Ringo having gained critical information about Holliday's whereabouts, secured a hostage in Kate, and established himself as a central, controlling force, while Wyatt and Masterson are now actively hunting him, setting up a complex, multi-layered confrontation.
